This image always brings up words like fiend, demon, devil, etc. The sand diver is one of my favorite subjects to photograph. They tend to sit still on the bottom and pose patiently for their portrait. I took this photo at a dive site called Mike’s Reef in the Bahamas. It was a day of working with my underwater macro photography. As often happens when doing closeup photography–Patty and I got separated from the dive group. We were totally lost. Eventually we surfaced and request a pick-up from the dive boat.
